 What a wonderful week! 

What a fantastic week we have had in Year 4!

 Ancient Egyptian Riddles
This week, we have been busy writing our very own riddles about Ancient Egyptian objects. I have been absolutely amazed by the children's understanding and use of expanded noun phrases, similes, personification and metaphors. They have worked incredibly hard to choose interesting vocabulary and create clues that really make the reader think!

Why not ask your child what each of these terms means? You will be blown away by their explanations! 

🔢 Place Value
In Maths, we have been deepening our understanding of place value and are now confidently working with numbers up to 10,000. We have been exploring the value of each digit and using our knowledge to solve a range of challenges. We are becoming real place-value experts!

🎮 Times Tables Rock Stars
Our TTRS scores are slowly creeping up, which is fantastic to see! Please keep practising at home whenever you can. Even a few minutes of regular practice can make a big difference to our speed and confidence with multiplication facts. 

🥳 Feel-Good Friday
Every Friday, we have our very own Feel-Good Friday! This is a chance for us to celebrate our effort, achievements and all the wonderful things we have accomplished during the week. We love taking time to recognise how hard everyone has worked and celebrate our successes together (with treats from Mrs Hardy!)

Polite request - Please can you check that your child's clothing is named so that any missing items can be returned easily.
