Soil Science

Date: 18th Feb 2022 @ 2:52pm

This afternoon the children in year 3 used their observational and investigative skills as part of their lesson. They focussed on soil and what it is made from by looking at a sample each. They then noted down what they could see.

We also did a class investigation to see which type of soil was the best at letting water soak through; loamy, sandy or clay soil. The children noted down their predictions, how to carry out a fair test and then what our conclusion was. We found the loamy soil was best.
