History to life in Year 1

In our History topic 'Toys Then and Now' we were very fortunate to have a visit from Catherine from 'History to life'. She brought in lots of lovely toys from thepast in and we were able to explore what they were made of, how they were made and most importantly we had a chance to play with them and experience joys just as our Parents and Grand parents did when they were little. 

We explored Jacob ladders, Tic Tack toe, Pecking Chickens, Spinning tops, Jack in a boxes, Cup and Ball games, Pick up sticks, and Puppets to name a few.
