Harvest Supermoon
Date: 9th Oct 2025 @ 7:59pm
Linking nicely with the work we did this week on phases of the moon, you might have spotted that the moon this week looks rather amazing! It is currently in the 'waning gibbous' phase, but it can also be called a 'harvest moon' because of the time of year. Not only this, but in the last few days we have experienced a SUPERMOON! This is when the full moon is at it's closed point to Earth. Any budding astronomers might want to keep a log of the moon over the next month to see it changing.
I have attached a photo of the glowing harvest moon, but sadly the photo doesn't quite do it justice. You are much better looking for yourselves.
