Fun in FS1

Date: 6th Oct 2022 @ 10:24am

This week in FS1 we have been so very busy.

We have been developing our independence skills particularly focused around putting on and taking off our coats and shoes and remembering where they live in school.

We have been practicing our markmaking in coloured sand and using large chalks and pens outside and the occassional paintbrush. (The fence has never had so many coats of 'paint').

Linked to our themed text 'The Colour Monster' we have been talking about the emotions of happy, sad and exctied and what makes us feel this way. We have also been looking at how music makes us feel and how we can use musical instruments to accompany songs.

We have very much enjoyed working in our sports area learning and playing different games - We have been very impressed with the way everyone has been working together and working on taking turns.

We have also been investigating the season of Autumn and Harvest time, looking at conkers and the leaves changing colour.  We have been busy making Pizzas (they were very tasty) and creating houses in construction and junk modelling. In art we have been continuing to create self-portraits and drawing pictures of our family.

We have been very proud of everyones hard work this week well done!
