Fruit tasting

In EYFS we have been learning about different fruits this week, focusing particularly on some fruits we have not tried before. Within our core story, Handa's Suprise - we have noticed some exotic fruit fruits such as mango. From this, the children were eager to try some new fruits. Today we tried: 

• tangerines
• mango
• pineapple
• papaya
• water melon 
• canatloupe melon
• kiwi
• lemon
• lime

The advacados were quite hard today so we are going to let them soften and we will try that later in the week. 

The children were excited and keen to try new fruits today. They described the fruits using lots of adjectives such as 'sweet', 'delicious', 'juicy', 'yummy', 'sour', 'soft'.
