Favourite Fruit

This week we have been busy talking about our favourite fruits. This then led to us drawing and writing about our favourite fruits. Some children commented: 

"Oranges are sweet and juicy". 

"Lemons are sour and so are limes". 

"I like watermelon". 

"What is a guava?" - We then looked this up on a google search. 

We have loved reading our core story 'Handa's Surprise'. We have learned about some new fruits such as 'passionfruit' and 'guava'. We also came across some animals we had not heard about before in the story such as 'Gazelle' and 'Ostrich' and we have learned about how to recognise these animals.
