Diwali FS1

In EYFS we have been learning about Diwali this week, "The Festival of Light". We chose to focus on it this week linked to our Diwali dance workshop led by a visitor called Joe, who is a professional dancer and teacher. We completed a simple routine led by Joe, which re-told the story of Rama and Sita. In class, we have continued to learn more about the story and have gained knowledge about how different people celebrate Diwali. The focus has inspired lots of children to make their own clay diva lamps. We have also been busy making Coconut Barfi, creating Mehndi patterns and Rangoli patterns. 

We have also enjoyed our Children in Need day and we have been very busy painting and drawing Pudsey alongside other Children in Need activities.
