Designing and making a Rehal

Year 1 love learning new things and have discovered that the stand the Quran sits on is called  a 'Rehal' This is an X-shaped, foldable book rest or lectern designed to hold the Quran at a convenient angle for reading. It is used to keep the Holy Book elevated, showing respect and ensuring it does not touch the floor. Traditionally, they are made from wood, often with intricate carvings or inlay work, but they can also be found in plastic or metal.

So we decided we would like to have a go at making one!
