Last week our focus in Cinderella ended with a wedding cermony and a wedding reception for 'Cinderella' and 'Prince Charming'. Some children took on the role of the 'bride', 'groom', 'best man' and 'bridesmaids' and someone gave the bride away when walking 'down the aisle'. Mrs Roach took on the important role of conducting the wedding ceremony and Mr Fisher was the photographer. We even had a 'wedding reception' where Mrs Roach taught us some steps to dance the Waltz and the wedding couple had their 'first dance'. We then played some party games and had a dance at our outdoor disco.
Our work on the this story has been so much fun and full of lots of exciting learning opportunities. The work produced has been amazing. We will share our finished display from this unit of learning with you next week.
We are so proud of the amazing work the children are producing and their continued progress. Remember to talk about our rules at home (letter sent a few weeks ago regarding 'Choose it, Use it, Put it away'). We are having a big focus on looking after our classroom environment too, please practise tidying up at home. We are keen for all children in EYFS to be as independent as possible.
