Books, books, books

In EYFS we are very passionate about books. We enjoy story telling, reading different texts and talking about the plot and characters in each book. This week we have moved on to reading 'The Gingerbread Man'. We have focused on key vocabulary linked to the text e.g. 'bushy' and 'flip' and the meaning of these words. We even had our very own 'cinema' to watch the story of 'The Gingerbread Man' on our interactive screen. Some children used scissors to cut out our cinema tickets and then each child got a ticket of their own for the cinema. We have also started creating our own stories. Mr Fisher has written down some of our own spoken stories. We have had stories about Ariel, Elsa and the Gingerbread Man.
