Developing gross and fine motor skills

In FS1, we have enjoyed taking part in Scribble Club with Miss B. The children have shown good progress with their drawing skills since September. We have enjoyed Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle and Dough Disco. The children have keenly been mark making and sharing their lovely drawings with us and showing pride in their creations.
In FS2 we have been busy the past few weeks developing our gross motor and fine motor skills to help us to strengthen our muscles for activities such as drawing, writing and using scissors. We have enjoyed 'Wake and Shake' - completing simple dance routines, Dough Disco - developing our fine motor skills and lots of arts and crafts. We also warm our finger muscles up before our 'Drawing Club' and handwriting sessions through squeezing a stress ball - we enjoy this as it helps to get our fingers ready for writing!
The children are showing lots of progress since September with their drawing and writing skills - the activites we are doing to build up muscle strength is really helping us.
