Year 6 were visited by 7 passionate and enthusiastic nurses from the Royal College of Nursing and Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. We learnt about the different types of nurses there are and the different places they work; they learnt about important people from nursing history; about how children are cared for in hospital; about infections and bugs and how to avoid them being passed on to each other. We were shown how to take our pulse, put bandages on and even how to put a Plaster of Paris on. The nursing staff were asked so many wonderful questions.
It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all! A Big thank you to all the nurses that came and made the day a great success and to Gill Coverdale and Emma Phillips for helping to organise the event!
